Lost Dog Loser
So, I have signed up to play softball this summer for the first time in more than ten years. I am sure I must really suck. I'll be playing on the Lost Dog Cafe team, which ironically has never won a game, so I should fit right in. Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I better see you there to cheer me on when I strike out.

I'm not a good team player--I don't like having other people in a team sport depend on me for not sucking and therefore can't handle things like that that are supposed to be fun... I'm weird like that.In other news, Nadia has found your lj and friended you--she was pleasantly surprised when you showed up at our house the other day--how to explain it? she was happy that you had dropped formalities with our apartment, like everyone else who comes around.
Actually, that's the cool thing about this league. No one cares how much you suck. The idea is to have fun, not to win. I had my first practice last night and I can confidently say that winning is not the goal here. If you are interested in spending some warm spring evening watching some women play softball (and make lots of mistakes!), I'll let you know when games are.
